SportGether
Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 12, 2026
SportGether helps people browse hiking activities, register attendance, and manage RSVP history. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled in the public app.
1. Information we collect
We may collect your name, email address, RSVP status, optional notes to organizers, member login session data, guest management tokens, language preference, activity history, and technical information needed to secure and operate the service.
2. Information from organizers
Organizers may create activity pages containing titles, descriptions, dates, locations, capacity, attendance lists, and uploaded images. Some of that information is visible to visitors who can access the activity page.
3. How we use information
We use information to show available activities, process registrations, prevent duplicate RSVPs, manage capacity, show your activity history, let you update your response, secure sessions, troubleshoot issues, and support organizer coordination.
4. Guest and member account linking
If you register as a guest and later sign in with a member account that uses the same email address, SportGether may link or move matching guest registrations to your member account so your activity history stays consistent.
5. Visibility to others
Activity pages may show participant display names and RSVP status to support coordination. Email addresses, private notes, guest tokens, and authentication details are not intended for public display.
6. Sharing and service providers
Information may be processed by services used to run SportGether, including hosting, the API service, MariaDB database, object storage for images, logging, backup, security systems, and CDN/script providers used by the web apps. We do not sell participant information.
7. Cookies and sessions
SportGether uses essential cookies and session tokens for member sign-in, language preference, form security, and guest registration management. See the Cookie Notice for more detail.
8. Guest links
Guest management links are private access links. Anyone with a valid guest link may be able to view or update the related registration, so you should keep those links private.
9. Retention
Registration records, activity history, and related audit data are retained while needed for activity coordination, user history, accountability, troubleshooting, legal compliance, or backup recovery.
10. Your choices and rights
Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, or restriction of personal information. You can also update RSVP information through the app where available.
11. Security
SportGether uses session separation, password hashing, CSRF protection, server-side authorization, database storage, and object storage controls. No online service is completely secure, so report suspected misuse promptly.
12. Children and minors
SportGether is intended for users who can safely participate in activity planning or who have appropriate consent and supervision. Organizers should avoid collecting unnecessary information about minors.
13. Operator and contact
SportGether is deployed and operated by the organization or organizer that provided access to this site. For privacy requests, contact that operator or the organizer who shared the activity link. Production deployments should replace this section with the legal operator name, contact email, address, and applicable privacy contact process.
14. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when SportGether changes features, infrastructure, data handling, or legal requirements. The effective date will be updated when material changes are made.
